Sheldon, Howard, Leonard, and Raj will get the chance to revisit that most magical of youthful milestones – prom – when The Big Bang Theory season 8, episode 8 airs this Thursday. But the preview and stills for the episode, titled “The Prom Equivalency,” suggest that there may be some familiar drama behind all the glitz and glam.
The preview for “The Prom Equivalency” suggests (or rather, tells us outright) that romance will be a central focus of the episode.
It’s great to see that Penny and Leonard have apparently settled their romantic differences (and their height differences.) And the preview definitely hints at some kind of special moment forthcoming between Sheldon and Amy. Could this be another kiss? A declaration of love?
…something to do with coitus?

In any case, the still photos from The Big Bang Theory season 8, episode 8 are perfectly chaste – and pretty adorable, even if not everyone seems to be having the grandest of times.
According to the official synopsis for “The Prom Equivalency,” all the high school-era madness begins with Amy and Bernadette.
“When the gang recreates a high school prom on the roof the of the guys’ apartment building,” CBS says, “Sheldon feels pressure to participate in all the typical romantic traditions.”
Kevin Sussman will return as the comic-book store owner turned Mrs. Wolowitz’s roommate in “The Prom Equivalency,” and Kara Luiz will guest star as Howard’s cousin Jeanie – presumably the unhappy young woman in the photos above.
