A preview, clip, and stills from The Big Bang Theory season 8, episode 4 suggest a bizarre business venture among the geeky gang.
Sheldon, Leonard, Howard, and Raj will consider becoming retailers in The Big Bang Theory season 8, episode 4. The episode, titled “The Hook-Up Reverberation,” will continue the story of Stuart’s failed comic book store.
The comic book store was destroyed in a fire near the end of last season – in fact, the event was a major element in Sheldon’s change-saturation storyline. But the preview for “The Hook-Up Reverberation” implies that the gang may be trying to revive their favorite haunt this season.
…but their consumer attraction program might need a little work.
A new sneak peek from The Big Bang Theory season 8, episode 4 appears to take place before this wild plot hatches, because the guys are talking about dinosaurs instead of comics.
The sneak peek also indicates another important plotline in “The Hook-Up Reverberation” – Raj is introducing his girlfriend Emily (Laura Spencer) to the gang. That’s a pretty big deal for Koothrapali, but still photos from the episode hint that this meeting may not go entirely smoothly… especially where Penny is concerned.
The official synopsis for The Big Bang Theory season 8, episode 4 offers more context to all this.
“Raj’s honesty about his past comes back to haunt him after his girlfriend, Emily, is cold to Penny,” CBS says. “Also, the guys consider becoming part-owners in Stuart’s comic book store.”
Could the brief, forgettable (and embarrassing) hook-up between Penny and Raj finally be coming back into play? Or is Emily just a bit protective over the feelings of her sweet and awkward boyfriend?
…Yeah, we think it’s the first one too.
