It’s the holiday season, so dysfunction and flailing will be at peak levels when The Big Bang Theory season 8, episode 11 airs tonight on CBS.

According to the synopsis, “The Clean Room Infiltration” will focus on strife between various members of the geeky gang.

“Leonard and Wolowitz nearly come to blows and turn to Raj for help in dealing with a work emergency,” CBS says. “Meanwhile, Amy throws an authentic Victorian Christmas party, and Sheldon seeks revenge on her for making him celebrate the holidays.”

On the latest episode of The Big Bang Theory, Sheldon canceled his webseries “Fun With Flags,” only to revive the show after about five minutes. Meanwhile, Penny helped Bernadette cope with the fact that everyone at work is terrified of her, while Leonard, Raj, and Howard came to terms with their mortality.

The preview for “The Clean Room Infiltration” seems rather cheerier, though there is certainly darkness lurking beneath the surface.

…or maybe the darkness is just all right on top of Sheldon.

The still photos from The Big Bang Theory season 8, episode 11 features a sparkling holiday party and a pristine clean room – both of which, we suspect, will rapidly descend into chaos.

But hey, the Grinch’s heart managed to grow – maybe Sheldon will manage to grow a heart by the end of the episode.
