Sheldon is raising his flag for the last time – literally – in the preview and stills for The Big Bang Theory season 8, episode 10.

It’s hail and farewell to a long-running joke on The Big Bang Theory season 8, episode 10. The episode, titled “The Champagne Reflection,” will focus on Sheldon’s decision to wrap up his “popular” series, “Fun With Flags” – and to take the show out with a serious bang.

The preview for “The Champagne Reflection” makes it clear that Sheldon has big plans for the big goodbye.

He also has a big pretzel, which we are certain will be enormously relevant later on.

It will be sad to say au revoir to “Fun With Flags,” but it’s reassuring that the finale will be consistent with the previous gamut of episodes. In other words, Sheldon will be hen-pecking poor Amy as unrelentingly as ever.

The still photos for The Big Bang Theory season 8, episode 10 reveal that in all other ways, “Fun With Flags”‘ grand goodbye will be above and beyond anything we have ever seen from the plucky, low-budget series… or from Sheldon.

And hey, look! It’s Levar Burton!

Okay, that’s Sheldon in a dress. This is not a drill.

The stills from “The Champagne Reflection” also hint at Penny, Bernadette, and the rest of the guys’ plotlines in the upcoming episode, which are expanded on in the official synopsis.

“Sheldon says a tearful goodbye to “Fun with Flags.”” CBS says. “Also, Leonard, Howard and Raj look for something significant in a dead professor’s research, and Bernadette is shocked to learn her co-workers’ true feelings from Penny.”

Will Evil!Bernadette finally be unleashed into the wild?

The Big Bang Theory season 8, episode 10, “The Champagne Reflection,” will air on Thursday, Nov. 20 at 8:00 p.m. on CBS.
