Tantalizing hints and casting news indicate that several romantic plot lines will be chugging at full speed as The Big Bang Theory season 7 continues.

Aside from Leonard and Penny’s recent relationship troubles (nothing spells danger faster than a marriage proposal!) romantic life has been pretty calm so far on The Big Bang Theory season 7. But new information from the cast and producers hint that new twists and turns may be coming up fast for more than one relationship.

According to TV Guide, the upcoming Valentine’s Day episode will include a significant moment for Sheldon and Amy. The episode will take the functionally asexual couple on a train ride through Napa Valley with Howard and Bernadette. Simon Helberg (Howard) shares that the trip will begin on a rough note – “[Sheldon is] obsessed with the train’s mechanics,” he says. “But there are some major steps forward taken, with a pretty beautiful ending.”

“It is a very big, very sweet episode for Amy and Sheldon,” Mayim Bialik (Amy) agrees. Executive producer Bill Prady adds that the romantic moment “surprises them both.”

Since this is Sheldon and Amy, the big romantic moment in question could be anything from a chaste kiss to a wild night in a train car. Still, we can’t wait to see what’s in store for the scientific semi-lovebirds.

In other romantic news, Raj may be getting back onboard the love train as well. According to TVLine, actress Tania Raymonde (LOST‘s ill-fated Alex Rousseau) will be guest-starring as a potential love interest for the perpetually unlucky Raj.

Raj’s previous love interest, the sweet and awkward Lucy (Kate Micucci) broke his heart at the conclusion of season 6. Lucy briefly appeared in The Big Bang Theory season 7, where she revealed that she was dating someone else. Since then, Raj – who can finally talk to women without being inebriated – has been desperately unsuccessful in attracting a mate. Raymonde’s character represents a spark of hope in that department – especially as the character may be a recurring one.

The Big Bang Theory season 7 continues with “The Convention Conundrum” on Thursday, Jan. 30 at 8:00 p.m. on CBS.
