In The Big Bang Theory season 7, episode 6, Sheldon will cope with an amazing scientific discovery that turns out to be less impressive than initially thought. The episode, titled “The Romance Resonance,” will also focus on Penny’s attempts to one-up another member of the geeky gang in the ‘romantic gestures’ department.

The official summary for The Big Bang Theory season 7, episode 6 says:

Sheldon’s major scientific breakthrough makes him feel like a fraud. Meanwhile, Howard’s romantic gesture to Bernadette causes Penny to step up her game with Leonard.

Last week on The Big Bang Theory, nobody went home happy after Sheldon’s objections to Amy working in his university uncovered rifts in their relationship – as well as Howard and Bernadette’s. There was also a monkey, and a Raj.

A sneak peek for “The Romance Resonance” shows us that Sheldon will kick off this week’s episode on a decidedly higher (though no less annoying) note – but the promo below gives us a taste at the disappointment that may quickly follow.

According to the press release, The Big Bang Theory season 7, episode 6 will also feature a few unusual cameos. Andrew Hill Newman will appear as none other than Albert Einstein, and John Apicella will join him as Archimedes. Only on The Big Bang Theory, folks.

The two scientific legends don’t appear in the stills from “The Romance Resonance,” but there are still a few interesting shots of our regular cast.

The Big Bang Theory season 7, episode 6, “The Romance Resonance,” airs tonight at 8 p.m. on CBS.
