Amy breaks some interesting news to Sheldon in a new clip from The Big Bang Theory season 7, episode 5, “The Workplace Proximity.”

The Big Bang Theory season 7, episode 5 airs tomorrow night on CBS. The episode, titled “The Workplace Proximity,” focuses on Sheldon’s conflicted feelings (to put it politely) when Amy gets a job opportunity at “his” university.

A new sneak peek from The Big Bang Theory season 7, episode 5 shows Amy breaking the news about her new placement to Sheldon over dinner.

In the clip from “The Workplace Proximity,” Amy tells Sheldon that she has been invited to consult on an experiment at the university. Amy is cautiously optimistic about the opportunity, as she and Sheldon will be able to spend more time together. Sheldon seems amenable to the idea, as Leonard’s appeal as a carpooler (aka, chauffeur) has lost its luster lately. Amy and Sheldon also trade polite euphemisms for rude terminology, because… well, they are Amy and Sheldon.

Though Sheldon seems comfortable with the idea of working near Amy so far, we suspect he may change his mind soon enough. The official summary for The Big Bang Theory season 7, episode 5 says:

Sheldon must decide how much “Amy time” is too much after she takes a job at his university. Meanwhile, Howard finds himself sleeping on Raj’s couch after a fight with Bernadette.

Hang on to your microscope, Amy.
