The Big Bang Theory season 7, episode 22 airs tonight on CBS! Here’s everything you need to know about the season finale, “The Status Quo Combustion.”

The almighty Roommate Agreement may come under attack tonight when The Big Bang Theory season 7, episode 22 airs on CBS. The season finale, titled “The Status Quo Combustion,” will focus on Sheldon’s predictably overwrought response to the changes brought on by Leonard and Penny’s engagement.

The official synopsis for “The Status Quo Combustion” says:

Sheldon is forced to confront an uncertain future and considers a major move. Meanwhile, Raj and Emily take it to the next level, and Mrs. Wolowitz’s injury is a major headache for Howard and Bernadette.

Howard and Bernadette were also grappling with Mrs. Wolowitz’s injury on last week’s episode of The Big Bang Theory, though they seemed to have cleared up the issue for the time being. Raj also cleared up a few things with Emily, as the two decided to take their relationship to the next level.

And of course, this happened:

It was pretty awesome.

But the preview for The Big Bang Theory season 7, episode 22 shows that the glow of engagement-excitement may be short lived for Leonard, at least.

Clearly, Sheldon doesn’t seem especially keen to get on board the change-train. (Which might be the only train he isn’t interested in, really.) To further complicate issues of marriage, roommates, and apartment-switcheroos, yesterday’s sneak peek from “The Status Quo Combustion” drops hints that Sheldon’s career is also in a state of flux.

But it’s nothing that a glass of Strawberry Quik can’t temporarily solve, right?

Still photos released from tonight’s season finale also hint that the episode will move between celebration and seriousness as the story progresses.

Whatever happens in the aftermath of Leonard and Penny’s engagement, we’re sure it will give Big Bang fans plenty to analyze over the summer hiatus!

The Big Bang Theory season 7, episode 24, “The Status Quo Combustion,” airs tonight at 8:00 p.m. on CBS.
