Here’s what happened on The Big Bang Theory season 7, episode 19, “The Indecision Amalgamation.”

The options

Sheldon is preoccupied with the very important decision between buying an XBox One and a PS4. He tries and fails to use delayed urination to bolster his choice.

Penny thinks she nailed an audition, but later finds out she did not get the part. However, her role in the terrible, cheesy horror movie (Serial Apist 2) is hers if she wants it.

Raj meets Emily in a cafe and apologizes for being horrible to her when they first met. She agrees to give him a second chance.

Process of elimination

Penny and Leonard read the script together and agree that it’s terrible. Penny doesn’t know what to do – the pay isn’t even that great. Later, they meet up with Wil Wheaton for advice and he says that working on bad movies can be soul-crushing. Wil then starts monologuing about how hard and depressing being an actor is, which is rather more than Penny and Leonard bargained for.

Sheldon tells Amy the history of gaming console names, and the benefits and detriments of the PS4 and the XBox One. Amy feigns excessive interest, but all she really wants is the butter. He continues to talk about it through their date-night kiss.

While at dinner with the gang, Raj gets an email from his ex-girlfriend Lucy, who wants to meet up. What to do? The gang tells Raj not to choose, but to date both.

Taking a chance

Penny still doesn’t know what to do, but Raj has made a decision. He is going to say yes – to life, to love, and to dating two women at once. At dinner with Emily, he cracks and tells her he is also seeing Lucy. Emily isn’t phased; instead she thinks Raj is adorable.

Sheldon and Amy go to buy the XBox One, but get distracted by the PS4 and his bad, Zune-purchasing decision. Amy offers to buy Sheldon both systems (and a new entertainment center for storage purposes) but flipping a coin only complicates the decision. Sheldon bursts into tears after the store is closed before he can chose.

Penny decides to take the Serial Apist job. As she is fitted for her gorilla arms, her co-star – the gorilla in a bikini – comes in, and pulls off her mask.

Turns out, Wil Wheaton got a job after all!
