Sheldon makes a disturbing observation in the preview and still photos for The Big Bang Theory season 7, episode 18.

The Big Bang Theory season 7, episode 18 will pick up where last week’s episode left off, according to the promo and stills released for this week’s geeky tango. The episode, titled “The Mommy Observation,” will focus on Sheldon and Howard’s unfortunate adventures upon arriving safely on the ground in Houston.

The official synopsis for “The Mommy Observation” also sheds some light on what Raj and the rest of the gang will be up to this week.

When Sheldon visits his Mom in Houston, he is forced to confront a new reality. Meanwhile, Raj’s ‘Murder Mystery’ party starts some fights within the gang.

A brief preview for The Big Bang Theory season 7, episode 18 cuts cleanly through the mystery of what Mrs. Cooper is up to… but we’ll let you hear Sheldon’s unique take on the situation.

Seeing his mom in a new relationship (not to mention witnessing the relations part of the relationship) has got to be rough on Sheldon, who never met a change he actually approved of. We suspect that this revelation will also be hard for Howard, who will probably be tasked with babysitting the emotionally devastated Dr. Cooper.

The stills released for “The Mommy Observation” give us a good look at Howard trying to handle Sheldon, as well as the return of Laurie Metcalf as Mrs. Cooper. Kevin Sussman will also appear as Stuart, whose life doesn’t seem to be getting much better at Raj’s murder mystery party.

No matter what happens, somebody might be wishing they’d been murdered by the end of Thursday night’s episode.

The Big Bang Theory season 7, episode 18, “The Mommy Observation,” will air on Thursday, March 13 at 8:00 p.m. on CBS.

How do you think Sheldon will respond to his awkward observation?
