The Big Bang Theory season 7, episode 10 airs tonight, and it looks like Sheldon might be in for a nasty surprise. Here’s everything you need to know about the episode!

Sheldon may find his greatest achievement crashing down around his ears when The Big Bang Theory season 7, episode 10 airs tonight on ABC. The episode, titled “The Discovery Dissipation,” will focus on Sheldon’s reaction to the debunking of the accidental-but-monumental scientific breakthrough from “The Romance Resonance.”

The official summary for The Big Bang Theory season 7, episode 10 says:

Leonard and Amy help Sheldon cope with the shame he’s feeling after his accidental contribution to science is disproved. Meanwhile, Raj must stay with Howard and Bernadette for a week.

In the most recent episode of The Big Bang Theory, “The Thanksgiving Decoupling,” the gang celebrated Thanksgiving for the first time. The group congregated at Mrs. Wolowitz’s house and the experience proved to be something of a healing one for a very reluctant Sheldon – though Leonard and Penny were both traumatized by the emergency annulment of her newly revealed marriage to an old boyfriend.

Judging by the preview for “The Discovery Dissipation,” the trauma level will be shooting up for everyone involved. (Especially for poor Bernadette, though the preview doesn’t focus on her.)

A recent sneak peek from the episode sets the stage for Sheldon’s imminent disillusionment, and still photos show just how far Dr. Cooper will fall.

Wil Wheaton and NPR radio host Ira Flatow will both guest star as themselves in The Big Bang Theory season 7, episode 10. John Ross Bowie will also return as Sheldon’s lisping nemesis, Barry Kripke.

The Big Bang Theory season 7, episode 10 “The Discovery Dissipation,” will air tonight at 8:00 p.m. on CBS.
