The title, summary, and a new photo have been released for the first two episodes of The Big Bang Theory season 7.

It feels like just yesterday that Raj was being dumped, Sheldon was being jealous, and Leonard was setting sail on the Black Sea in the season 6 finale of The Big Bang Theory. But the show’s seventh season is coming at us as fast as particles in an accelerator, and some important details have been revealed about the season premiere.

The first episode of The Big Bang Theory season 7 will be titled, “The Hofstadter Insufficiency,” certainly a reference to Leonard’s four-month scientific journey to the Black Sea on behalf of Stephen Hawking. The official summary for the episode also reveals that The Big Bang Theory will return with two episodes to build an hour-long premiere. “The Hofstadter Insufficiency” will be followed by the “The Deception Verification”:

Sheldon and Penny share intimate secrets while Leonard is away at sea, later, Sheldon’s feelings are crushed when Leonard returns. Meanwhile, Raj gets consoled about his ex-girlfriend and Wolowitz’s relationship with his mother causes an unusual threat to his masculinity.

The summary also notes that Regina King will return in the premiere as Sheldon’s occasional Employee Relations nemesis, Mrs. Davis. Kevin Sussman will also appear as dour comic book store owner Stuart.

Speaking of intimate (not like that), the first photo from “The Hofstadter Insufficiency” has also been revealed, capturing Sheldon and Penny in a very sweet moment.

It’s great to see Sheldon getting more comfortable with human contact, and we’re always happy to see more bonding between the Soft Kitty duo. The way things look now, it’s hard to tell whether it’s Leonard’s girlfriend or his roommate who is suffering more acutely from Hofstadter insufficiency!

The Big Bang Theory season 7 will hold its hour-long premiere on Sept. 26 at 8 p.m. on CBS.
