A new promo has been released for the penultimate episode of season 6 of The Big Bang Theory, featuring dungeons, dragons, and drama for the geeky gang.

After last week’s excitement with Bob Newhart (aka Professor Proton), The Big Bang Theory returns to as-normal-as-ever this week with “The Love Spell Potential.” It looks like the romantic temperature between Sheldon and Amy (cranked to an unprecedented mild warmth over the course of the season) may be getting even hotter before season 6 comes to an end. Check out a new preview for “The Love Spell Potential” right here:

Though we’re sad to see season 6 of The Big Bang Theory come to a close, we’re also hoping for just a little bit of closure when it comes to Sheldon and Amy’s steady and coitus-free relationship. Will playing Dungeons and Dragons with Amy make Sheldon see her in a new light? Will the two ever take their physical relationship beyond hand-holding and vapor rub? (If their little plastic D&D game pieces do get past first base, will they melt?)

The episode promo doesn’t give us much of a hint for what’s to come in “The Love Spell Potential” for Raj and his nervous girlfriend, Lucy (Kate Micucci), but the official summary is more helpful:

When the girls’ trip to Vegas falls through, the guys invite them to play Dungeons & Dragons, causing Sheldon and Amy’s relationship to take an unexpected turn. Meanwhile, Koothrappali and Lucy go on a very awkward date.

Raj’s “awkward dates” with Lucy have been a theme lately on The Big Bang Theory, but so far, the kinks in their admittedly odd relationship have been working themselves out successfully. Will this time end poorly? (Could anything possibly be worse than that black hockey jersey?)

The Love Spell Potential will air on May 9 at 8:00 p.m. on CBS.

Do you think any relationships will explose on ‘The Big Bang Theory’?
