A new clip has been released from this week’s episode of The Big Bang Theory, featuring the first stage of what may prove to be a rather hazardous adventure. Minor spoilers ahead.

A new clip from “The Bakersfield Expedition”, Thursday night’s episode of The Big Bang Theory, has been shared by SpoilerTV. The extended preview shows the geeky gang embarking on their expedition to a Star Trek convention in exotic Bakersfield, but thanks to Sheldon, it may be something of a bumpy ride. Check out the clip right here!

It’s a good thing this Trek-themed promo reveals that all of the guys do, in fact, make it to Bakersfield, or we’d be just a little nervous that at least one of their number (coughSHELDONcough) would be left by the roadside.

In other good news, last week’s episode of The Big Bang Theory, “The Egg Salad Equivalency”, brought in the largest audience in the show’s history. In total, a rather staggering 19.25 million people watched the episode, making “The Egg Salad Equivalency” the third episode in season six to provide record ratings for the nerd-centric comedy.

“The Bakersfield Expedition” airs on Jan. 10 at 8 p.m. on CBS. The official summary says:

While the guys take a road trip to a comic book convention dressed as Star Trek: The Next Generation characters, the girls stay home and try to interpret a comic book.

What do you hope to see in “The Bakersfield Expedition”?
