Last night’s episode of The Big Bang Theory inspired us to look back on our favorite moments from the wacky and wonderful Mrs. Wolowitz.

Fans of The Big Bang Theory have been wondering what the comedy would do with Mrs. Wolowitz after actress Carol Ann Susi sadly passed away in November. Last night’s episode, “The Comic Book Store Regeneration,” answered that question, when Howard learned that his mother passed away in her sleep while on vacation in Florida.

In a sad but moving crossover between fiction and reality, the geeky gang were all visibly affected by Howard’s loss. Leonard proposed a beautiful toast to Mrs. Wolowitz in the episode’s final scene, and it was clear just how sad the cast was to say goodbye to “Ma” and Carol Ann.

So in honor of the eternally hilarious Mrs. Wolowitz, and Susi’s terrific acting, we’re looking back at a few of Ma’s best moments.

The time Mrs. Wolowitz could be heard from outer space

The time Mrs. Wolowitz and Bernadette figured out how to communicate

The time Mrs. Wolowitz had a really good time

The time Howard and Mrs. Wolowitz had a deep, meaningful conversation

The time Sheldon lent Mrs. Wolowitz a hand

The time Raj took over for Howard

The time Mrs. Wolowitz was literally the best part of Howard and Bernadette’s wedding

And of course, the time Mrs. Wolowitz thought Howard was a sex criminal

Through nearly eight seasons of The Big Bang Theory, Carol Ann Susi bellowed out her lines with gusto and gravitas. The show has not been the same without her, but we’re so glad to been able to enjoy her humor and spirit for so long.

Thank you for the laughter, Carol Ann. We will miss you.
