Two major names from the original Star Wars trilogy are all set to guest star in an upcoming episode of The Big Bang Theory!

We may still be in the dark over who will headline the new installments of the Star Wars franchise, but a report from TV Line tells us exactly what names are written in the stars for The Big Bang Theory.

No less impressive a duo than actor James Earl Jones (the voice of Darth Vader) and actress Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia) will guest star in an upcoming episode of The Big Bang Theory. The news comes from the show’s executive producers Bill Prady and Steve Molaro, who spoke to TV Line about the exciting guest-casting at last night’s Golden Globe Awards.

According to Prady and Molaro, Fisher and Jones will both appear as themselves in the upcoming episode. The story line will bring the geek icons into (potentially unfortunate) contact with uber-geek, Sheldon Cooper.

Ironically, the subject of Star Wars has already been broached on The Big Bang Theory this season. Leonard suggested that a down-and-out Penny enter the open auditions for the film, and a hilarious scene showed Howard’s sorry attempt at an audition.

James Earl Jones has already guest starred as himself on an episode of Two and a Half Men, which also comes from The Big Bang Theory creator Chuck Lorre. Carrie Fisher has appeared on the sitcom 30 Rock, and had other roles on live television.

The Big Bang Theory is currently on hiatus after two episodes, which saw Leonard and Penny grapple with the state of their relationship. (Short version: Penny wanted to go to warp-speed; Leonard did not.) The show is slated to return with new episodes on January 30.

The Big Bang Theory airs on Thursday nights at 8:00 p.m. on CBS.
