As season 6 of The Big Bang Theory comes to a close, more snippets of information from upcoming episodes have been released. Minor spoilers ahead.

The Big Bang Theory will return next week after another short hiatus, but in the meanwhile, more new information has been released for the episodes that will close out season 6 of CBS’ geektastic comedy.

First comes our initial look at television legend Bob Newhart’s appearence on The Big Bang Theory. Newhart will guest star as “Professor Proton” on the May 2 episode, “The Proton Resurgence.” Check out the photo right here:

Aw, Sheldon looks positively star-struck.

Following “The Proton Resurgence” will be the penultimate episode of the season, titled “The Love Spell Potential.” The newly-released official summary says:

When the girls’ trip to Vegas falls through, the guys invite them to play Dungeons & Dragons, causing Sheldon and Amy’s relationship to take an unexpected turn. Meanwhile, Koothrappali and Lucy go on a very awkward date.

The summary for The Big Bang Theory‘s season finale has recently been released as well. The title has not yet been revealed, but perhaps that has something to do with the potentially game-changing information hinted at in the summary.

Update: The season finale will be titled “The Bon Voyage Reaction.” Thanks to reader Mercedes for the tip!

The summary says:

Sheldon and Penny are thrown for a loop when Leonard is offered an exciting job opportunity overseas.

The episode, which films tonight, will bring to a close an unprecedentedly succesful season for The Big Bang Theory, in which the comedy repeatedly smashed ratings records and became Thursday night’s most-watched show on television.

A photo tweeted today by actress Kaley Cuoco lends some credence to the importance of the episode title, deftly obscured by Cuoco from the eyes of eager viewers.

The Big Bang Theory will return on April 25 with “The Closure Alternative.” The official summary says:

Sheldon feels lost after one of his favorite TV shows gets canceled too soon and Amy tries to help him get over his compulsive need for closure. Meanwhile, Raj discovers a secret about his new love interest.

The Big Bang Theory airs at 8 p.m. on CBS.
