Penny has to reevaluate her career again, while Raj is given a potentially dangerous assignment on The Big Bang Theory season 8, episode 21.
The episode, titled “The Communication Deterioration,” looks like it will lead Penny down a dark and terrible road.

Penny’s reevaluation of her career as an actress began on last week’s episode of The Big Bang Theory, when Penny appeared on Wil Wheaton’s podcast and was offered an audition by Kevin Smith. Leonard was upset about this, but decided he’d prefer Penny to make less money than he does, so he’s okay with her going back to acting.
Meanwhile, Howard met his younger brother Josh, while Sheldon and Amy built an amazing fort – and the couple had their first (G-rated) sleepover.
The first sneak peek from The Big Bang Theory season 8, episode 21 shows Raj and Leonard attempting to be meek but powerful together.

The second clip demonstrates another reason why Leonard might be less than enthusiastic about working with Sheldon in this episode. And it’s set to music.
Perhaps unaware of Sheldon’s musical ambition, Penny approaches him for help in the third sneak peek from the “The Communication Deterioration.” Sheldon is, you know, super helpful.
Still photos from tonight’s episode suggest that the geeky gang’s respective conundrums will eventually collide this week, though with what success, we can’t yet say.
“When Raj is asked to create a message in case a NASA mission discovers alien life, the guys fight over what he should do,” CBS hints. “Also, Penny is torn between auditioning for a movie or keeping her successful pharmaceutical sales job.”
