The main characters in The Bed Mate have known each other since college but never admitted their feelings for one another. Instead, they each dated other people who always turned out to be all wrong.
I loved how Maggie and Sam leaned on one another through their ups and downs. And it’s downright adorable how confused they each get about their more-than-friendly feelings that arise.
When they both end up single at the same time it seems like fate finally aligned for them to be together. They go on a ski trip to escape, and it’s impossible for them to deny the feelings that have long been brewing.
Stuck in close quarters together, thanks to all the hotels being booked up, they have to deal with their emotions head on. Readers will be more than satisfied when these two give into their mutual attraction!
As a quick read, it felt like a nice little bonus from Kendall Ryan. And since the characters have been waiting so long to get together it didn’t feel forced or rushed at all. Perfect for a night when you just want a quickie romance story!
For anyone that hasn’t read the other books in this series, this novella a great introduction to Kendall’s writing style.
