Matt Reeves has finally given fans their first look at Robert Pattinson all suited up for The Batman!

Word that Robert Pattinson had scored the coveted role of the Caped Crusader in director Matt Reeves’ The Batman swept through the internet like wildfire when the news first broke last year.

Now, fans eager to see how Pattinson will pull off portraying one of the most iconic vigilantes ever, can finally feast their eyes on a brand new camera test shared by Reeves featuring the actor in costume.

Reeves took to Twitter on Thursday (February 13) to share the behind-the-scenes camera test footage with fans far and wide.

The director offered up no extra information, but to be quite honest, there’s not much that’s needed.

The short video features an out of focus Pattinson walking slowly toward the camera until the lens finally focuses on the Batman emblem embossed across the chest of his bat suit. From there, the camera slowly pans up, offering up a great view of the suit’s mask (as well as Pattinson’s impressive jawline.)

Over the course of the time the film has been in production, Matt Reeves has not shied away from letting fans know that he’s looking to give his take on the Caped Crusader a detective noir feel. The shadowy red and black lighting in the brand new test footage certainly serves to drive that vision home!

Robert Pattinson isn’t the only big name star who’s joined the cast of The Batman.

In addition, the film is set to star the likes of Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner Gordon, Andy Serkis as Alfred, Zoe Kravits as Catwoman, Colin Farrell as the Penguin, Paul Dano as the Riddler, and John Turturro as Carmine Falcone.

Here’s hoping Reeves is generous enough to offer up some more first looks of the other characters set to be featured in The Batman soon!

The Batman hits theaters on June 25, 2021.
