Netflix’s official trailer for their upcoming adaptation of The Baby-Sitters Club introduces us to the new members but keeps the iconic phone.

We got our first look at the new generation of best friends in March with cast photos and an official poster that mirrored the very first cover the books.

Now we’ve been given our first look at the girls coming together and starting a business in the first trailer for Netflix’s The Baby-Sitters Club, which premieres on July 3rd.

Based on the best-selling, beloved book series of the same name, The Baby-Sitters Club follows the friendship and adventures of Kristy Thomas (Sophie Grace), Mary Anne Spier (Malia Baker), Claudia Kishi (Momona Tamada), Stacey McGill (Shay Rudolph) and Dawn Schafer (Xochitl Gomez) as the middle-schoolers start their babysitting business in the town of Stoneybrook, Connecticut all while navigating middle school and growing up.

Ann M. Martin, the The Baby-Sitters Club series author and show producer, conceived the idea of these inspiring young girls with different backgrounds, personalities and opinions that were brought together by a business venture they created and bonded through the friendships they forged. The adaptation of the contemporary dramedy will continue the tradition set forth in the book series and champion friendship, female empowerment and entrepreneurship.

The show is led by Rachel Shukert (Glow), who acts as showrunner, and Lucia Aniello (Broad City), who is executive producer and director.

The family-friendly adaptation comes from Walden Media and Michael De Luca, who will executive produce.

The beloved and best-selling book series is a timely story of female friendship, entrepreneurialism and empowerment. The series has over 200 books licensed in over 20 territories with more than 180 million copies sold to date.
