Fans of Netflix’s The Baby-Sitters Club can rest easy knowing that season 2 is on the horizon!

On Thursday (August 26) Netflix announced that The Baby-Sitters Club season 2 would officially be premiering on the platform this October.

Based on the beloved book series by Anne M. Martin, the first season of the series debuted via Netflix on July 3, 2020; the series was renewed for a second season just a few months later the following October.

In addition to announcing the highly anticipated premiere date for the second season, BSC series creator and executive producer Rachel Shukert also let slip a few details with regards to what we can expect from The Baby-Sitters Club season 2.

First and foremost, fans can expect to see Kristy, Mary Anne, Claudia, Stacey, and Dawn coming further into their own, in addition to a bit more maturation for their newly established, incredibly successful club.

In addition, Shukert also teased the formal introduction of the club’s newest recruits, Jessie Ramsey and Mallory Pike, both of whom were briefly introduce toward the end of the first season.

“There are two new members, they’re all a year older and have more experience running a business, deeper friendships, and are growing into a deeper understanding of themselves as people,” explained Shukert.

“We also wanted to continue exploring themes that allow young viewers to see themselves represented on screen, while also dealing obliquely with many of the things we’ve all been through in the past year: loss, change, responsibility, and trying to find joy and meaning in unexpected places,” added the series creator.

The Baby-Sitters Club season 2 debuts exclusively via Netflix on Monday, October 11.
