The Americans has a new promotional clip for its second season, teasing the drama that Philip’s (Matthew Rhys) and Elizabeth’s (Keri Russell) relationship will go through.

The promotional clip “Bed” by FX is extremely artsy and features the two stars in bed until they slowly transform into a letter of the title series. It is unclear what the promo is supposed to suggest. What do you think of the clip?

The second season of The Americans premieres February 26 at 10 p.m. EST on FX.

The first season of The Americans was largely praised by critics for its representation of 1980s Cold War Americans. The first season included the attempted assassination of President Reagan as well as the Polish revolution.

In the season finale, daughter Paige (Holly Taylor) started to suspect that all was not right in the Jennings household while FBI neighbor Stan (Noah Emmerich) was played by his Soviet mistress Nina (Annet Mahendru). Philip had to marry Martha (Alison Wright) in order to preserve his cover while Claudia (Margo Martindale) continued to watch the Jennings. What did you think of the first season of The Americans?

Since the first season, Keri Russell has had two films premiere, Austenland and Dark Skies. Russell has also appeared in an episode of the Netflix series Arrested Development as well as the Fox film Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. Matthew Rhys just finished filming Death Comes to Pemberley, where he plays the famed Mr. Darcy.
