FX’s The Americans has announced that Margo Martindale will return and Aimee Carrero will join season two of the acclaimed drama.

Margo Martindale, who currently starring in CBS’ comedy The Millers, will return to The Americans for at least one episode in season two. Martindale played Claudia, Philip (Matthew Rhys) and Elizabeth Jennings’ (Keri Russell) KGB handler. Martindale was nominated for an Emmy for her role. In an interview to TVLine, executive producer Joel Fields confirmed this information, stating, “Sources say this intel is very strong. She’ll be back for at least one episode.”

Aimee Carrero of Cartoon Network’s Level Up will appear on The Americans as Chena, a Sandinista fighter who “will go to any lengths to support her cause” as reported by The Hollywood Reporter. It looks like The Americans will be expanding its reach in international relations beyond the KGB and the United States. Level Up is a live-action series on Cartoon Network where Carrero is a series regular. Carrero is also filming the ABC Family pilot Young and Hungry with Emily Osment. She previously appeared in Blue Lagoon: The Awakening as well the ABC Family drama Lincoln Heights.

The Americans will debut its second season in January 2014.
