The MPAA certificate for The Amazing Spider-Man has been revealed, and most likely will not surprise anyone.

The film has been rated PG-13 for ‘sequences of action and violence.’ Spider-Man and Spider-Man 3 were rated PG-13, but the less dark Spider-Man 2 received a PG. Considering the amount of jumps featuring the Lizard the film most likely has, it may be too frightening for young children.

Surprisingly, on the MPAA website, an alternate title for the film is listed as ‘Spider-Man: Fiona’s Tale’. What does that tell us about the film, if anything at all?
