The first footage from The Amazing Spider-Man 2 debuted last night with a simple warning. Electro is on his way. Check out our first real glimpse of the electrifying villain.

Electro made his way onto YouTube last night, in a clip teasing his arrival at San Diego Comic-Con this weekend.

In the past few weeks, we’ve gotten our first official photos from Marc Webb’s The Amazing Spider-Man 2, but this is the first time we are seeing Jamie Foxx in action as the character.

In the footage, we hear the villain’s voice for the first time and see what appears to be the completion of his transformation from lowly Oscorp employee, Max Dillon, to Electro.

In a cryptic voice over, we hear Foxx say, in character, “You want to know how powerful I am? Well, I want to know, too.” Check out the first Amazing Spider-Man 2 footage below:

At the end of the clip comes a reminder that “Electro arrives” this weekend at San Diego Comic-Con. Director Marc Webb, stars Andrew Garfield, Dane DeHaan, and of course Mr. Foxx himself will be in Hall H at 4:00 pm on Saturday, July 19.

Marc Webb and his cast and crew have been swinging all over New York shooting scenes this summer, giving fans an up-close and personal view of the action they have in store for the Spider-Man sequel.

Hypable will be hanging out at Comic-Con all weekend long, so you can bet we’ll bring you the scoop on all the latest Spidey (and other) news!
