The Amazing Race 27×01, “A Little Too Much Beefcake,” just finished airing! Read our recap to find out which team got eliminated.
The teams kicked off from Venice Beach, California where they went straight for a bike race on water to win the only plane ticket leaving first for Rio de Janeiro. Justin and Diana win the first flight to Rio, giving them a 30 minute lead ahead of the other teams.
Leap of Faith
In order to win the fast forward, the team must hang glide and it’s weather dependent. Justin and Diana decide to try for it. When they arrive at the Fast Forward, Justin and Diana learn that the weather is too strong to fly. So they have to turn around and join the rest of the teams.
Route Info
The teams must take a helicopter ride, and when they land, correctly answer a question in order to get their next clue. Rick and Cindy are the first to try the helicopter ride and get the clue. No one has a problem answering the question correctly. Justin and Diana take the ride last and have to beg a taxi to give them a ride to the next location because they are out of money.
Detour
The teams that try the volleyball game quickly learn how good the locals are at playing it, while those at the puzzle have a hard time keeping calm.
Tanner and Josh are the first to complete the detour, with Jazmine and Danielle right behind them. A few of the teams get stuck doing the detours, which gives Justin and Diana a chance to catch up. It comes down to Kelly and Shevonne, and Tiffy and Krista last at the puzzles.
Pit stop
Tanner and Josh are the first to arrive at the pit stop at Arpoador Lookout. Along with first place, they win the Express Pass.

3rd place: Cindy and Rick
4th place: Denise and James
5th place: Logan and Chris
6th place: Alex and Adam
7th place: Ernest and Jin
8th place: Kelsey and Joey
9th place: Justin and Diana
10th place: Tiffany and Krista
Kelly and Shevonne come in last place and are eliminated from The Amazing Race.
We’re disappointed to see team TMZ out of the race so quickly, as they were sure to keep the race entertaining. However, it looks like the rest of the racers are pretty competitive, which should keep things interesting.
But we hope that Justin doesn’t continue to keep crying through the rest of the legs. It seems like Cindy and Rick will have a good chance at winning the million dollar prize thanks to their smarts, while the strong physical teams are Tanner and Josh, and Jazmine and Danielle.
