We’ve got an exclusive clip of The 100 actress Eliza Taylor doing a reading from Kass Morgan’s novel Day 21!

Day 21 is the sequel to Kass Morgan’s The 100, which inspired the CW series of the same name. The book was released earlier this year, and continues the exciting story of Clarke, Wells, Bellamy and Glass’s experiences on the Ground and the Ark.

Although the show and the book series are very different from one another, Day 21 can actually teach us quite a bit about the ground, which might inform us about what we can expect in season 2 of The 100.

Plus, we very much appreciate the fact that we get to enjoy two different versions of the same story. There are some exciting romance and character developments in the book that we don’t have in the show – but the show makes up for its lack of kissing with bullet wounds and violence! So really, you can’t have one version of The 100 without the other.

To get a taste of the new novel (if you haven’t read it yet – what are you waiting for?!), check out this great video featuring Eliza Taylor, who plays Clarke in the TV series, reading aloud from Day 21:

After Taylor’s charming read, Kass Morgan appears on screen to share her excitement about the show, and about being on set for the filming of season 2.

Kass Morgan is an author living in Brooklyn, New York. We hope she’s busy working on the third book in The 100 series, as we’ve got so many unanswered questions after Day 21!

The 100 season 2 premiered last night on The CW. Read our recap and review of the episode, and make sure to share your own thoughts about the surprising developments.
