The 100 fandom has pulled together, and boosted the season 3 premiere ratings significantly.

Hey, all other shows on TV, take note: Not only is The 100 a remarkable show, but its writers and staff have embraced their fandom to an almost unprecedented degree, working to spread the word about the little CW show that could during the hellishly long hiatus between seasons 2 and 3.

Everyone’s been binging the show on Netflix, and there’s been an influx of articles rightly touting The 100 as the best show on TV. (Psst: We loved you first.) All of this has meant that more people are now tuning in live, contributing to those all-important Nielsen ratings.

The street team’s efforts have clearly paid off, because The 100‘s ratings haven’t been this good since 2014.

According to SpoilerTV, the season 3 premiere, titled “Wanheda, Part 1,” scored a 0.7 in the key 18-49 age bracket. That’s a surge up from last season, where it averaged a 0.5 same-day rating. Its overall viewership was 1.98 million.

(Note that these ratings are preliminary, and may adjust slightly down, but not significantly so.)

According to TV By the Numbers, this is a good sign for those of us (all of us) hoping for a season 4: As long as The 100 doesn’t drop in viewership, it should have fairly good renewal chances.

For its third season, The 100 airs Thursday nights at 9/8c on The CW. It follows new series Legends of Tomorrow which is part of the DC superhero show family.

The first episode of The 100 season 3 picked up three months after the season 2 finale, following Clarke on the run, and revealing what Bellamy, Murphy, Jasper, Octavia and the rest of the gang had been up to.

Next week, make sure you tune in to season 3, episode 2 “Wanheda, Part 2” to keep those ratings high and help The 100 get the fourth season it deserves!
