See what The 100‘s showrunner Jason Rothenberg can tease about the upcoming season 2, which premieres next week!

The 100 season 2, episode 1 “The 48” airs next Wednesday on The CW. Fans are anticipating the show’s return (and shaking with terror because they know not all their favourite characters are gonna make it through), and we’ve already seen several promos and a sneak peeks released.

The CW has released a new video teaser, in which creator and showrunner Jason Rothenberg gives us a few new hints about what we can expect:

Rothenberg says the season starts with “a bang” (we’re guessing he’s talking about a bigger bang than Clarke breaking the glass!). Our heroine will quickly find a way out of her cell, but what will she discover about the mysterious place she’s being held in?

“It’s gonna be unclear, I think, as to whether they are people that we should like or not,” Rothenberg says.

He goes on to talk about Octavia (Marie Avgeropoulos) and Lincoln (Ricky Whittle)’s journey, revealing that they don’t make it to their destination.

Finally, Rothenberg talks about one of the central aspects of the season, which is going to be seeing these characters try to find their way back to one another.

We’ve got several different factions all separated: Lincoln and Octavia, Clarke (Eliza Taylor) and her fellow captives, Bellamy (Bob Morley) and possibly Finn (Thomas McDonell) – should they still be alive – and Raven (Lindsey Morgan). We’re guessing they won’t all get their happy reunion.

The 100 season 2, episode 1 “The 48” airs Wednesday at 9/8c on The CW!
