When The 100 returns next week with season 2, episode 9, Raven’s life hangs in the balance.

We’re still recovering from Finn’s tragic death in The 100 season 2 mid-season finale.

Yet when the show returns Jan. 21, our concern immediately turns to Raven, who might very well meet a painful demise only hours after her ex-boyfriend lost his life at Clarke’s hand.

“Nah,” you say. “The 100 wouldn’t kill off two main characters in a row!” But who are we kidding? Those writers are merciless.

TV Guide has released an extended promo for season 2, episode 9, “Remember Me,” in which we see Lexa torture Raven:

In the promo, Lexa tells Clarke that, “What you did will haunt you until the end of your days,” referring to how Clarke ended Finn’s life to spare him from a torturous execution.

It shows more details of the Sky People and Grounders’ intended alliance, which fails at the outset when one of the Grounders is poisoned.

Everyone believes Raven did it, but it’s pretty obviously a setup. We don’t know how, but it’s possible that one of the groups has a spy from Mount Weather in their midst. A brainwashed Grounder, perhaps?

But poor Raven, still grieving for Finn, is strung up – and it looks like the Grounders will be torturing her for her presumed crime. We really hope that Clarke and the others manage to get her out of this!

The 100 season 2, episode 9, “Remember Me,” airs Wednesday, Jan. 21 at 9/8c on The CW.
