Eliza Taylor (Clarke Griffin) has been making the media rounds this week to promote the show. Speaking to Young Hollywood, Taylor discusses everything from her Netflix queue to working on an American TV show for the first time:

In the video, Taylor talks about The 100 season 2, revealing there’s a lot more physical work for Clarke this season.

She promises a lot of “running and hiding,” shooting guns and fighting. Already next week, the promo reveals that Clarke and Anya (Dichen Lachman) will escape Mount Weather, trying to escape through the Reapers’ tunnels.

On shipping, the interviewer asks her about “Bellarke” (Bellamy/Clarke), and she talks about her friendship with Bob Morley. “He’s one of my best friends on the show, and I adore him.”

Teasing the emotional midseason finale, she says fans can expect “a rollercoaster ride,” which will get even darker than it already was. Because bloodless bodies hanging from the ceiling isn’t dark enough!

In an interview with Access Hollywood, the actress promises that we’ll learn more about the Grounders’ history this year:

She also reveals how she got the role of Clarke; she didn’t audition for the part, but was offered it by The CW.

“She’s fierce, and I love playing her, and in some ways I identify with her – and in a lot of ways I learn from her,” she says.

On her season 2 journey, Taylor teases that, “Clarke definitely takes a darker turn this season. She has to make a lot of hard decisions to survive.” She also says the character is very similar to Bellamy, Raven, and of course to her mother.

And finally, check out her roundtable interview with several reporters, recorded by HitFix:

In this video she covers a lot of topics, including Clarke’s hypothetical reunion with her mother, and how the other kids’ perspective on her is changing.

She also warns viewers that there’ll be some “pretty awful” deaths in the first half of the season.

The 100 season 2, episode 3, “Reapercussions,” airs next Wednesday at 9/8c on The CW.
