See what The 100‘s stars have to say about Clarke, Finn and Bellamy’s changing relationships to one another in season 2. Is “Bellarke” a possibility?

Zap2It has published some fantastic new interviews with the cast and crew of The 100 recently, in which they touch on a topic which takes up an unusually small amount of screen time for a CW show: romance.

Eliza Taylor (Clarke) and creator Jason Rothenberg both agree that the fan-favourite “Bellarke” (Clarke/Bellamy) relationship comes across on screen – whether or not it was meant to.

“It wasn’t ever intentional. It wasn’t something that we had planned,” Taylor admits. “But I agree, we do have a great chemistry.”

While Clarke and Bellamy (Bob Morley)’s friendship has certainly grown over the course of season 1, that doesn’t mean the relationship will necessarily develop into something romantic.

Rothenberg says that while, “It’s definitely something that we see the way everybody else sees it,” he doesn’t know whether they’ll “get together,” in the traditional sense.

“But the people that are looking for [Bellarke] will be happy,” Rothenberg teases, adding, “and the people who don’t care about it won’t mind the way we treat it.”

But where will that leave Finn (Thomas McDonell) and Clarke, a relationship established in season 1? When we last left the pair, Finn and Raven (Lindsey Morgan) had broken up, and Finn had declared his love for Clarke.

But since their separation, Finn’s character has taken a dark turn, which might serve to change Clarke’s feelings about him.

Previewing her character’s eventual reunion with Finn, Taylor says that Clarke is, “definitely shocked at the things that he’s done to try to find her.”

While she partly feels responsible for his transformation, she will also be, “partly angry and almost scared of this new person that he’s become.”

Morgan adds that Finn is, “going through a huge metamorphosis of what he thought he was and who he is. Now he doesn’t know, I don’t think. He’s really confused.”

The 100 season 2, episode 4, “Many Happy Returns,” airs Wednesday at 9/8c on The CW.
