Thanks for Sharing has Gwyneth Paltrow and Mark Ruffalo leading an impressive ensemble. Watch P!nk take on her first big acting role in the new trailer!

Thanks for Sharing tells the story of three people (Ruffalo, Josh Gad, Alecia Moore) who enter a program for sex addicts. We see them struggle with fears of relapse and the complications of developing healthy relationships.

The serio-comic ensemble flick premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival last September. Tim Robbins, Joely Richards, Carol Kane, and Patrick Fugit round out the cast.

Check out the trailer:

Paltrow plays Phoebe, who enters into a relationship with Ruffalo’s character not knowing he is a sex addict. As they get closer and the truth comes out, we see them struggle to deal with the challenges his addiction presents.

Gad and Moore are also addicts in the program who help one another to stay out of trouble, forming what looks to be an charmingly unexpected friendship.

Robbins plays Ruffalo’s sponsor and program facilitator, and Richardson plays Robbins’ loyal wife.

Moore, a.k.a singer P!nk, has had bit parts on the big screen before, and even lent her voice to 2011’s Happy Feet Two, but this is our first live-action glimpse of her in a significant supporting role.

Mark Ruffalo takes a break from “hulking out” with his Avengers crew to re-team with Stuart Blumberg, who co-wrote the indie hit The Kids are Alright. Ruffalo was nominated for a Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his work in that film.

Blumberg co-wrote and directed Thanks for Sharing, which will open in theaters on Sept. 20, nearly a year after its initial premiere.
