Terminator: Dark Fate released a new trailer, and while it still keeps a lot of mystery, one thing is clear: Sarah Connor is back, y’all.

These days, it’s not unusual for a movie to release approximately ten thousand trailers in the months leading up to a film’s release (and many argue trailers give far too much away about upcoming flicks). However, for Terminator: Dark Fate, Paramount has been keeping everything pretty close to the vest. Until now, we’ve only had a teaser trailer and a SDCC trailer.

And while Paramount is still keeping things mysterious about the plot of Terminator: Dark Fate, they have released a new trailer for the film. The new trailer puts Sarah Connor front-and-center, and let me tell you, she’s just as badass as you remember her in Terminator 2.

Before we go any further, Sarah Connor saying “I’ll be back” is just giving us life. Sure, it is total fan service, but we’re HERE FOR IT. Okay, now let’s talk about the movie.

After Terminator 2, the franchise struggled to find solid footing again, and latest installment Terminator: Genisys was a particular disappointment at the box office. However, it looks like this Terminator movie is taking us back to what made us fall in love with the franchise. Much like the new Halloween movie rewrote the franchise timeline, Terminator: Dark fate is essentially ignoring every spin-off after T2.

Though Sarah Connor changed the future in T2, it seems she didn’t free humanity from danger. When a terminator-human hybrid (Mackenzie Davis) from the future comes to warn of the impending danger, the two set off on a harrowing journey to protect a young woman key to saving humanity.

Of course, this is Terminator, so even though Sarah Connor is most certainly the flick’s hero, Arnold Schwarzenegger makes a comeback. Though his character was seemingly living a pretty chill life, alone in the woods, Sarah Connor and Davis’ character pull him back in to fight to save the future.

There are still a lot of questions surrounding the Tim Miller-directed film, but it looks like this movie is going to be one Terminator fans just can’t miss. If you’ve found yourself less-than-thrilled with the Terminator flicks that came out after Judgement Day, Terminator: Dark Fate looks like it’s taking it back to basics, which is definitely a good thing.

Thankfully, we don’t have to wait too much longer for Terminator: Dark Fate to open in theaters. You can catch up with Sarah Connor when she lands in theaters on November 1.
