Read 10 lines of dialogue for Merlin‘s series finale episode “The Diamond of the Day, Part 1,” which airs this Saturday!

Alright guys, we’re almost there. Merlin ends Monday, December 24, but before that there’s Saturday’s episode, the first part of the grand finale “The Diamond of the Day.”

We’ve now got 10 teasing lines of dialogue from the episode, released on Inside Media Track. Try to work out who says each line, and who they’re saying it to:

“I can’t restore it, it’s beyond my power.”

“You know to use the sharp end right?”

“Then I shall wield it in victory and with honour.”

“Tonight we end this war as old as the land itself…”

“I’m afraid I won’t be coming with you – not this time.”

“Battlefield’s no place for a Queen.”

“Whatever the outcome of this battle, my sister cannot and will not desecrate those values!”

“You have defied me for the last time Emrys.”

“I’m not sure he believes you Gaius. I’m not sure I do!”

“You know Merlin, all those jokes about you being a coward, I never really meant any of them…”

“Why do you hide, you still afraid of me?”

“It ends here Leon. Be it life or death, it ends here.”

Alright! We’re gonna speculate a bit ourselves. That first line must surely be about Merlin’s magic, which Morgana said in the promo that she’s going to take away from him. Could it be the big returning character (who we’re not gonna reveal here) saying it to Merlin?

Our favourite quote has got to be this one: “You know Merlin, all those jokes about you being a coward, I never really meant any of them.” And we have to assume that’s said by Arthur, right?
