With the reappearance of Teen Wolf for season 4, we also have the return of Wolf Watch, an after show that discusses each episode of the series after it airs.

Wolf Watch will break down the episode that just aired and feature guest appearances from members of the cast and crew, as well as fans, musical guests, and more. Host Jill Wagner (Kate Argent) is joined this week by Executive Producer Jeff Davis and stars Tyler Posey (Scott), Tyler Hoechlin (Derek) and Dylan O’Brien (Stiles).

This was a jam-packed episode of Wolf Watch, full of important reflections about the finale, the season as a whole, and even a few tid-bits about what we can expect from season 5. We’ll give you a full breakdown here.

One of the biggest highlights of last night’s episode was when Derek changed into a full wolf form. Davis says they had planned this out for Derek right from the beginning of season 4, stating, “We knew we wanted to evolve his character.”

Hoechlin also comments on Derek’s evolution, saying that he was willing to give up his life for Scott’s because he’s realized that he was never meant to be the Alpha. Instead, that’s Scott’s job, and Derek just wants to do what he can to help.

“He was able to evolve into something stronger than he ever was before without becoming an alpha,” Hoechlin says. “Turning into a full wolf is really the pinnacle of becoming a werewolf, being able to transform the whole body.”

“It’s the idea that you can blend perfectly into nature,” Davis adds. “So they can hide themselves completely and transform completely.”

Moving on to Kira and her kitsune powers, Davis says that traditional mythology offers a wide range of abilities, including healing, shape-shifting, and even casting spells. However, they have to decide what they want to include in the mythology of the show, and while healing is definitely one of them, they still need to pick and choose what else they want to keep.

But regardless of her actual supernatural powers, which we will hopefully see more of in season 5, Davis says, “When [Kira] picks up her sword, that gives her balance.” Since her power is very much connected to her sword, we hope to see Kira’s powers expand as she spends more time honing her skills with the weapon.

Unfortunately, there are no clips concerning season 5 or any teases just yet. But stick around and we’ll bring you any information we get as soon as we receive it!
