A new Teen Wolf season 5B trailer has dropped, and it’s a hell of a good one.
MTV set up an Instagram scavenger hunt for Teen Wolf fans to uncover the new season 5B trailer.

There were several Instagram accounts harboring images of past Teen Wolf characters with the names of the nine circles of hell on each picture: Limbo (Lydia), Lust (Malia), Gluttony (Deucalion), Greed (Meredith), Anger (Liam), Heresy (Chris), Violence (Stiles), Fraud (Theo), and Treachery (Kira).
“We’re gonna go to school, and we’re gonna pretend like we’re normal teenagers. At night, we’re going to be fighting for our lives.”
Yeah, that sounds like a typical day in Beacon Hills.
This season is going to focus on Scott getting his pack back, though it’s not going to be easy. At one point, Malia says she can’t help, and there’s that little issue of Lydia being in Eichen House. And Kira being the harbinger of death. And the fight Scott and Stiles had at the end of season 5A.
One person who promises to be helpful is Theo — he may not be the good guy, he says, but he does know what’s coming. The Beast of Gévaudan: “History’s most vicious, most famous werewolf.” Someone wants to know how to steal its power, and that someone goes to Deucalion for help.
We only get a few glimpses of the beast, but even those couple of shots look terrifying. It seems only natural, then, that Chris Argent brings in an older, wiser hunter to help them out. It’s too bad that person has to be Gerard, who’s not looking too great at the moment. Maybe this will be the season that finally puts him in the ground.
Other points of interest include seeing a spark of fire coming from the center of the Nemeton and the ring of bodies that surrounds it. We see Parrish glowing like he has that same spark within him, and we have to wonder if we’ll be seeing him transform more into a Hellhound this season.
As promised, it’s going to be up to Stiles to save Lydia from Eichen House, and the end of the trailer shows him attempting to get her out.
“To hell and back,” the title card at the end says. Wasn’t this season supposed to be on the lighter side?
