Teen Wolf season 5A may be at its end tonight, but season 5B is ramping up to deliver more of what we love!
Teen Wolf season 5, episode 10, “Status Asthmaticus,” airs tonight at 10:00 p.m. on MTV. It’s the summer finale, and you know things are going to get crazy.
Unfortunately, that also means we’ll be going on a break for a few months while they film and put together the rest of season 5. We don’t have an air date yet, but if history is to repeat itself, we can probably expect the final 10 episodes of season 5 to air in early 2016.

Until then, we’ll have to deal with the fallout from the finale and consume any behind-the-scenes media Teen Wolf deems worthy of sharing with us.
Today, MTV released the below photo to commemorate the beginning of filming season 5B, showing Dylan O’Brien (Stiles) and Director Tim Andrew in the elevator at the hospital. We wonder if this is a friendly visit or a life-and-death one. (Let’s be real, this is Teen Wolf. It’s probably the latter.)
Meanwhile, news is starting to slowly (slowly) trickle out concerning season 5B. First up, Marisol Nichols (the Desert Wolf and Malia’s mom) spoke with TVLine about her upcoming role. We’ve learned she’s half coyote and half werewolf, and that she’ll start shooting again next week. At this point in production even Nichols isn’t entirely sure what’s up with her character.
“Just give me fight scenes, mess up my face, give me some claws and I’d be in heaven,” she adds.
Meanwhile, over on EW, Cody Christian (Theo) teases tonight’s summer finale. “The way the finale ends, people are going to be losing their minds for the premiere episode of 5B,” he says, also stating that he couldn’t say if Theo would end up on the other side of the hiatus.
