Teen Wolf writer Eric Wallace has announced that season 5 is set to premiere June 2015.

During a recent interview with those over at the Gecken podcast, Wallace revealed that MTV’s supernatural werewolf show would be returning in June of this year.

An exact date has yet to be announced but this was the first confirmation of a summer release.

During the interview Wallace also mentions that the writers are working to make this the “scariest season EVER” of Teen Wolf.

You can listen to the full podcast below, where Wallace discusses writing for comic books and television, Godzilla, the proper way to treat collectables, as well as many more nerdy things.

Although filming is set to begin sometime early next month, we have surprisingly few details as to what expect from the upcoming season. It was only two weeks ago that we learned the tentative title for episode 1.

It was actually executive producer Jeff Davis who revealed on Instagram that the first episode of season 5 would be titled “Creatures of the Night”.

And back in November, lead actor Tyler Posey was nearly as in the dark as we were about the upcoming season. Though he could guarantee that it was going to be “badass”.

“It’s another thing we haven’t done before,” Posey went on to say. And even though he only knew about one of the upcoming elements, he said it is “so badass that I would watch the entire season just for this one part.”

So although this is about all of the reliable information we have to go on right now, it’s enough to get us sufficiently excited and ready to start counting down until Teen Wolf season 5 premieres in June.
