Teen Wolf season 5 may be a long way off now, but information about the first episode is slowly making its way online.

The Teen Wolf season 5 premiere episode is tentatively titled “Creatures of the Night,” according to Creator Jeff Davis’ Instagram post (and confirmed by Jarrett Wieselman of Buzzfeed).

The reason we say tentative is because this is still very early on in production and things are always subject to change, as reinforced by writer Angela Harvey’s recent tweet.

But our job is to track down the rumors and pick them apart anyway, so…here we are.

“Creatures of the Night” is a fairly vague title without having anymore relevant information. More than likely it refers to our local band of werewolves, werecoyotes, kitsune, banshees, and up-to-no-good human beings. But perhaps Davis & Co. will be introducing a new creature right off the bat, and we’ll have something new to dissect (metaphorically speaking) in the new episode.

Or, if we’re really, really lucky, it’s actually a reference to a certain Rocky Horror song. One can always hope.

Teen Wolf season 5 is likely to start filming sometime early February 2015, which means we still have plenty of downtime before we begin to get more information pertaining to next year. There’s no premiere date set in stone just yet, but the show typically resumes in June. Season 5 will have 20 episodes, broken up into two parts of 10, but all connected to one arc.

When season 4 left off, our Teen Wolf crew had returned to Mexico and fought against Kate and Peter. While Kate escapes, Peter gets locked up in Eichen House with the three-eyed Dr. Valack. Scott has better control of his pack, Derek can shift into a wolf, and the Calaveras seem to be out of everyone’s hair for now.

And while we don’t know much about season 5, we can assume we’ll be, at the very least, learning more about Malia’s mother (the desert wolf), as well as what kind of supernatural creature Deputy Parrish is.

Do you have any theories about the ‘Teen Wolf’ season 5 premiere episode title?
