Teen Wolf season 4 information has been pouring in, and there’s more good news on the horizon: Three of the female characters on the show will be banding together.

Talking with E! Online, Executive Producer Jeff Davis says that a relationship between Kira, Lydia, and Malia will be developing next season.

“One of the things that I really like in season 4 is the friendship developing between Kira, Malia and Lydia,” Davis says. “We have this trio of girls who are becoming a very powerful part of the show, which is just awesome.”

It’s true that Lydia has been a longtime crush of Stiles and that they’re now close friends, but Stiles is also beginning a relationship with Malia. Could this cause some issues between the two of them? Fans who are worried that there may be some rivalry between Lydia and Malia shouldn’t be alarmed.

“I’m not a huge fan of love triangles myself,” Davis says. This was evident, of course, during the latter half of season 3 when Scott was dealing with his feeling for both Kira and Allison, although there were no hard feelings between the two girls.

We can probably expect something similar between Lydia and Malia.

And speaking of Kira, Davis also addresses her relationship with Scott, saying, “We like the idea of a slow burn for them, whereas for other romances on the show may be all physical at first, but the difficult thing for them is actually being with each other and not being physical.”

Davis also says Derek will definitely be getting a love interest in season 4, but that it won’t be Kate Argent, who made a triumphant (and shocking) return during the Teen Wolf season 3 finale.

Teen Wolf season 4 will air on Monday, June 23 at 10 p.m. on MTV.
