In a recent spoiler chat, Arden Cho (Kira) says that Derek will be quite protective of his friends in the second half of Teen Wolf season 3.
The spoiler chat was with E! Online, who got to talk to Cho about her character and who she may be interacting with in Teen Wolf season 3B.
We know that Kira will be spending some time with Scott, as they were definitely eyeing each other in their shared history class when Mr. Yukimura embarrassingly introduced his daughter to everyone. But who else will Kira be seen with?
“Kira definitely has interactions with a little bit of everybody,” she tells E!. “It’s funny because Derek kind of gets involved too and I don’t know if it’s appropriate, but he’s kind of like the papa bear.”
Derek has always looked out for his pack to the best of his abilities, even if those intentions didn’t always turn out the way he wanted them to (RIP Boyd and Erica). However, over the last several seasons, Derek has moved from an antagonist to playing the role of Scott’s wolf-brother, just like he said in season 1.
“He kind of looks out for everybody, you know what I mean? In a weird way,” Cho continues. “He’s got Scott’s back, so he kind of gets involved too.”
It’ll be interesting to see how Derek will handle a possible relationship between Scott and Kira, considering he wasn’t a fan of the way Allison distracted Scott so much back in season 1.
Either way, we’ll have to wait until Derek and Peter are rescued from their captors before we can get any sort of interaction between the younger Hale and the rest of the cast.
