A brand new sneak peek for Teen Wolf season 3 shows Lydia and Stiles discussing odd occurrences that might mean something bad is on its way to Beacon Hills.

Check out the video below:

It’s an explosive scene, to be sure. It starts off with Lydia and Stiles talking in class about how Lydia’s dog, Prada, had bitten her for the very first time. Stiles also brings up something about a deer, and hypothesizes that perhaps something bad might be on its way. He argues that animals tend to freak out and act as early warning systems for things like earthquakes. Perhaps something similar is at work here.

Lydia is skeptical, but just as she’s about the discredit him, a bird flies into the window, killing itself. The teacher walks over to inspect the damage, and we see a flock of crows flying toward the classroom. They crash into the window until they break through it and start attacking the students. Everyone takes cover, but there’s just no getting away from the swarm.

By the end of the video, the birds are dead, and everyone is okay, if a little injured. It certainly sets the tone for the new season!

The “something bad” that is coming to Beacon Hills is, presumably, the Alpha Pack. It’s interesting to think that all manner of animals are fleeing from this group of Alpha werewolves, and it certainly adds to their already ominous nature.

It’s also nice to see Stiles and Lydia talking as friends, as this is something quite new for them. Not to mention the fact that Lydia is in on the big secret now, as she’ll surely be an asset to the team.

How much are you looking forward to season 3? Don’t forget it returns in a little over a week, on Monday, June 3 at 10 PM EST on MTV.
