Another Teen Wolf spoiler of the week has surfaced, this time giving us pictures of some mysterious new symbols. What could they mean?
The MTV Remote Control Blog has given us another spoiler for season 3, and this one involves some interesting photographs from the set of Teen Wolf. These photos show some symbols we can expect to crop up in the upcoming season — which is only 40 days away, by the way. Some of them look fairly familiar, but one in particular is making us scratch our heads.
The first photograph, below, shows us a quadraspiral. This looks quite similar to the tattoo found on Derek’s back. His symbol, a triskele, could mean a multitude of things, including past, present, and future; mother, father, and child; and alpha, beta, and omega.
Given that the quadraspiral has an extra ‘arm,’ what do you think it could mean? Perhaps it denotes the Alpha Pack and the ability to rise from omega to beta, beta to alpha, and then alpha to a member of the Alpha Pack.
It’s interesting that this is showing up on a tree, which is probably somewhere Derek and the others are most likely to see it without it arousing the suspicion of too many other Beacon Hills residents. Perhaps it’s another warning from the Alpha Pack.
The second picture shows a spiral, which we already know is a symbol of revenge among werewolves. This one appears to be burnt into the side of…something. A building? A warehouse door? It’s hard to tell, but the message is clear: someone is not happy.
Lastly, we have a third symbol that is reminiscent of the Alpha Pack symbol Derek found on his door at the end of season 2. It’s in a slightly different style, but it’s very much the same shape. This seems to be the Alpha Pack’s calling card, and is probably another warning that they’re in town.
