Check out the new Teen Wolf season 3 opening credits, which have gotten a little bit of a face-lift over last year’s sequence.

You can watch the video below, thanks to ET Online.

The opening credits for season 3 aren’t that different from season 2’s sequence. The main thing that sticks out is the noticeable absence of lacrosse and Colton Haynes’ character Jackson, who will not be in season 3. Otherwise, most of the other characters have very similar openings, with some added shots that make this sequence feel a little spookier.

You can watch season 2’s opening credits below as reference.

The additional shots include one of Scott (Tyler Posey) seemingly levitating in the middle of a misty forest scene. Could this be an artistic choice, or is it possible we could be seeing some alternative supernatural abilities crop of this season?

After Allison’s introduction with the bow and arrow, we’ve got a bunch of hands reaching up through the dirt. It’s interesting this follows Allison’s sequence, and we can’t help but wonder if she may be plagued with nightmares this season after everything she did in season 2. We can definitely see her feeling guilty about helping Gerard in his twisted mission.

We also get a couple shots of a real wolf, perhaps the same black one we saw in the teaser trailer. We know the real wolves will have a presence in season 3, but we’re not quite sure to what extent just yet. Some Alphas can turn into real wolves, like Laura did, so could this be a member of an Alpha Pack? Considering the wolf preceded Scott and followed Derek, maybe it signifies they’ll be transforming into real wolves this season?

We also get a shot of Lydia screaming and a few glimpses of both Derek and Scott’s tattoos, which seem to be playing a somewhat significant — and mysterious — role this season. The trailer ends with a look at a large tree looming in the night.
