Teen Wolf season 3 is airing in just seven days, so we’ve put together a guide to all the new characters that will be popping up on our screens this year.

The Alpha Pack

First up we have the Alpha Pack, which will be driving the plot forward in season 3. They’ve come to Beacon Hills for a purpose, and that purpose has to do with getting Derek to join their pack. If he refuses? Well, things are going to get ugly.

Deucalion, played by Gideon Emery

Deucalion is the leader of the Alpha Pack. He’s extremely intelligent and manipulative, and he will be trying to turn Derek against Scott and the other members of his pack. He wants Derek to join him because he enjoys discovering “new talent.”

From the trailer, it has been discovered that Deucalion is actually blind, which will certainly add a whole new dimension to his character. Rather than holding him back, it looks like his other senses will be in overdrive, allowing him to outmaneuver his opponents with little trouble.

Kali, played by Felisha Terrell

Kali is Deucalion’s right hand werewolf. She’s ruthless and sexy, and can definitely handle herself when it comes to combat. She fights barefoot because she uses the claws on her feet as one of her main weapons. She will definitely be one to keep an eye on.

Although we know female Alphas do exist (Derek’s mother was one, after all), Kali will be the first female Alpha we’ve seen on the show. Her character is named after the Hindu goddess, who is often referred to as the goddess of destruction, though she is also the goddess of time and change.

Aiden, played by Max Carver

Aiden is one half of the twin alphas that are a part of the Alpha Pack. He’s the brawn, but also extremely handsome and quite a charmer. While he doesn’t seem to have quite as big of a part as his brother Ethan, you can bet that Aiden won’t be left behind.

While his brother has his own target to pursue, it looks like Aiden will be concerning himself with Lydia. She’ll be trying to get over Jackson this season, and Aiden will be all too willing to help her in that regard. But don’t expect his feeling to be genuine — they’ve all got a part to play, and Deucalion is the one pulling the strings.

Ethan, played by Charlie Carver

Ethan is Aiden’s twin brother. He’s the brains of the duo, but he’s not all that different from Aiden. He’s also quite a charmer, and he’ll be devious and manipulative.

His target will be Danny, which has the fandom in quite a tizzy, seeing as Danny is a fan favorite character. Danny and Ethan will be sharing at least one pretty steamy scene this season, and we have no idea if he’ll actually develop feelings for Danny along the way. But it’s not all worrying and nail biting! In the trailer, we saw Danny being wheeled into the hospital, and Ethan was with him, looking quite worried.

Ennis, played by Brian Patrick Wade

We don’t know too much about Ennis, as his role seems to be less significant than the other Alpha Pack members. Whereas the other four got character portraits, Ennis did not, though we did get a great look at him in the trailer. It seems that he’ll be impersonating a hospital orderly when we first meet him.

Ennis is basically the muscle in the Alpha Pack. Whereas the others tend to rely on their intelligence, talents, and ability to manipulate others, Ennis is just the brute force, coming at Derek, Scott, and the others with his incredible strength.

Next up: What other werewolves will be debuting this season?

Other Werewolves

The Alpha Pack isn’t the only group of werewolves coming to Beacon Hills this year. We’ve got a few others that will be making appearances. Some will play an important part in season 3, and others will mainly just be revealed in flashbacks.

Cora, played by Adelaide Kane

Cora is a 17-year-old girl that has been on her own for a long time. She is a werewolf, but there’s no telling if she’s an omega, a beta, or an alpha herself. She’s got quite a mysterious past, and she has been described as having a secret tie to the werewolves.

While we still don’t know what this secret tie is for sure, many fans are speculating it could be related to Derek. Indeed, in one of the sneak peeks, we see Derek and Cora in his new apartment looking like they’re getting ready to spar. Kali and Ennis make quite an entrance, and while Cora tries her best to attack Ennis, he quickly knocks her off her feet.

Talia Hale, played by Alicia Coppola

Talia is Derek’s mother. She was a strong and decisive female Alpha, both beautiful and dangerous. Presumably, she was killed in the Hale house fire that Kate set six years prior to season 1, along with the rest of Derek’s family, aside from Laura and Peter.

Talia will be showing up in episode 8 during the flashback that will be portraying Derek as a young teenager, around the age of 16. Rumors have it that she might be back as a recurring character, but we’re not sure if that means there will be more flashbacks or if she did indeed survive the fire.

Laura Hale, played by Ana Walczak

Although Laura, Derek’s sister, has been mentioned many times before, and has even been featured for a few seconds here and there, this will be the first time we’ll be getting a good look at her.

Walczak will be playing a younger Laura, and she will be debuting in episode 8, alongside her mother, in a flashback. She is older than Derek and is both beautiful and strong, like Talia. Laura became an Alpha when her family died in the fire, but was then murdered prior to season 1 by her uncle, Peter. Just like Coppola, there’s a possibility that Walczak could become a series regular, though we still don’t know how.

Next up: Check out the human newcomers and those that still have unknown roles!

Team Human and Unknown Characters

Unknown Character, played by Meagan Tandy

There is still a lot of speculation surrounding Tandy’s character, and we don’t actually know too much about her, even though she will be showing up in the first episode of season 3. After Isaac is attacked by the Alpha Pack, Tandy’s character will rescue and revive him.

In a behind-the-scenes video, we got a quick look at Tandy, though the peek didn’t tell us much. She was wielding a stick in the boys’ locker room, looking like she was ready for a fight. Whoever she is, she does seem to be aware that werewolves exist, though we have yet to find out if she is one herself. Perhaps she has a connection to Deaton or Morel?

Heather, played by Caitlin Custer

Heather has been a long time friend of Stiles. Early on in the season she will be turning 17, and if the trailer is anything to go by, she’s staking a claim to Stiles. Stiles seems surprised, but more than happy to reciprocate.

The trailer also showed us another shot of Heather, but this time it was a much more morbid scene. She looked bloody and beaten up, and as she turns to the camera, she lets out a shrill scream. It looks like the Alpha Pack could have gotten to her, perhaps because of the simple fact that she was associated with Stiles.

Ms. Blake, played by Haley Webb

Ms. Blake is the new English teacher at Beacon Hills. She’s being described as strong but vulnerable, and she will find herself caught in the middle of the battle between werewolves that will be taking place in Beacon Hills during season 3.

We saw her in a sneak peek that was released a few days ago, which showed her teaching right before a flock of crows crashed through the windows of her classroom. She’s seen telling her students to get down as they’re all attacked by the birds. Additionally, she will be playing Derek’s love interest this season.

Additional characters

There are numerous other characters that will be making their way to season 3 this year, some of which are quite minor, and others that we just don’t know that much about. These include an unknown character played by Zelda Williams (yes, that Zelda Williams); Marco, one of Deucalion’s Betas; and Jack Keller, an FBI agent that comes to Beacon Hills for business.

There are other actors attached to the show, and a few more characters, but if you can keep these new faces straight, you’ll be all set for season 3!

Which new character are you most looking forward to seeing on ‘Teen Wolf’ season 3?
