Teen Wolf season 3’s final 12 episodes are gearing up to be quite exciting, and today we learned that two new characters are on their way to Beacon Hills.

In a spoiler chat from E! Online, it was revealed that a new deputy will be heading to Beacon Hills to give the sheriff a little help. Fans will remember that in episode 9, “The Girl Who Knew Too Much,” Deputy Tara Graham was killed by the Darach.

It’s only fitting, then, that the sheriff gets more help. According to E!, the character is called Deputy Parrish and is “pretty young and very good-looking.”

Another newcomer to Teen Wolf season 3 is going to be a nogitsune. A nogitsune is, as you may have guessed, related to the kitsune. While the kitsune tends to be mostly good (although still a trickster), the nogitsune is a malicious creature. E! describes the nogitsune as “a malevolent man with inhumane movements.” They also say he speaks in riddles.

Teen Wolf season 3 is taking on Japanese myth in full force, it seems. Perhaps the nogitsune will be the kitsune’s enemy, and our favorite group of werewolves, hunters, humans, and otherwise will have to pick a side and battle to save Beacon Hills — again.

In September, we learned that we’ll be seeing a flashback that involves a young Chris Argent and a new kind of evil. Could this evil be the nogitsune?

While there has been no official announcement as to who will play these two new characters, several other casting announcements have already been made. Arden Cho will play Kira, an Asian American student that comes to Beacon Hills. Additionally, we’ll be seeing Doug Jones play Barrow, a known killer, who will show up in season 3, episode 15, titled “Galvanize.”

Teen Wolf season 3 returns for the final 12 episodes on January 6, 2014 at 10 p.m. EST on MTV.
