“This looks just like me,” Kira says, looking at a black-and-white photo of a woman with a soldier from 1943. “It has to be my grandmother.”

“No,” Mrs. Yukimura says. “It’s me.”

On the next episode of Teen Wolf, it looks like we’re not only going to get some more information on the nogitsune, but also some information on Kira’s mom. It seems as if the two stories are more intertwined than we previously thought.

In the flashbacks, we see Kira’s mother kissing the soldier from the photo — a soldier that is clearly not the same man she will come to marry. Mrs. Yukimura explains that the nogitsune came from the internment camps in WWII, saying, “It brought chaos, strife, and more pain than you can imagine.”

Mrs. Yukimura is definitely worried about the nogitsune, and it looks like she has good reason to be. Could the evil spirit be the same man she was involved with during the 1940s? Could something she did be the reason why the nogitsune exists and is currently causing problems in Beacon Hills?

We’re also interested in why young Mrs. Yukimura looks so much like Kira. Could there be something else going on here, or is it just coincidence that they’re identical?

Teen Wolf season 3, episode 21, “The Fox and the Wolf,” airs on Monday, March 3 at 10 p.m. on MTV. Be sure to read our recap of the last episode, “Echo House,” and check out the end of season 3 trailer that debuted last night.

How involved do you think Mrs. Yukimura is in the nogitsune’s story?
