Teen Wolf season 3, episode 14, titled “More Bad Than Good,” begins with Derek and Peter being held by an unknown group of people. It seems they know quite a bit about werewolves, and it’s possible this is the group of South American hunters we’ve been hearing rumors about.

But if you think they’re as understanding as the Argents, you’d be wrong, considering they cut off Peter’s finger.

Meanwhile, Scott and Stiles find the werecoyote’s den. Scott can search for her now, but he’s still worried that if he changes, he won’t be able to turn back. Instead, they call the sheriff. Of course, things get complicated as soon as Agent McCall shows up, and we think the official Twitter account sums up our feelings best:

In the next scene, Kira gives Scott some research about Bardo, and we’re once again enraptured by how incredibly adorable and awkward she is. And even though her father embarrasses her for a second time, Stiles is the one who has it the roughest. He has a panic attack in the middle of class when he can’t read from a book, and he’s not sure if he’s dreaming or not. Scott helps him through it.

As Kira goes to deliver Scott and Stiles’ forgotten bags, she sees the werecoyote in the hallway and is chased into the lockeroom. Scott rescues her, thank goodness, and we find out why Malia the werecoyote was there in the first place: Stiles had her doll in his bag.

With Peter and Derek still hanging out, it looks like all hope is lost. That is, until Braeden of all people shows up to rescue Derek… because Deucalion hired her.

Yeah, we’re still processing that one, too.

Deaton has some tranquilizers that will work on Malia, but it will depend on Scott being able to find her, and Allison having steady enough hands to shoot her. After a few jabs about Isaac’s scarf, and the realization that Scott has performance issues, the crew decides that they don’t have any other choice.

In order to get Scott to be able to control his transformation, they seek out the twins, who used to be – but are no longer – Alphas. However, as soon as Scott, Lydia, and Stiles arrive, the twins jump Scott and start beating him to a pulp. In the end, though, aggravating Scott doesn’t do anything but make him bloody and beaten.

As Allison prepares her gun to shoot Malia, her hands are still shaking and she sinks into another hallucination. This time she’s in the morgue with her chest cut open. Kate and the other doctors turn into werewolves and start eating her alive. She comes out of the dream-state with her gun pointed at Isaac, and he asks her how he can help her.

As the group hunts down Malia, she shows up at her father’s house. The only problem? He’s hell-bent on killing her since he thinks she’s the creature that killed his family. Scott chases after Malia, with Isaac and Allison close behind. Isaac gets caught in one of the traps Mr. Tate set for the coyote, and Allison must calm herself enough to shoot Tate so he doesn’t murder Malia.

On her second attempt, she does just that, but then Malia escapes.

Stiles figures out that Malia is so protective of the doll because it was her sister’s, and she left it at the crash site like a person would leave flowers at a grave for their loved one. As Stiles relays this information to Scott, Lydia gets caught in a trap of her own. Will Stiles be able to help her out of it before it closes on her leg?

Lydia instructs Stiles to read the warning label to figure out how to disarm it, but he can’t read at all. Instead, she tells him that he’s smart enough to figure it out on his own, and that’s exactly what he does.

Scott is still chasing after Malia, and comes face to face with her at the crash site. He turns into a wolf, despite his earlier reservations, and roars, giving Isaac the strength to free himself from the trap and allowing Malia to turn into a girl again.

Malia reunites with her father, and Stiles realizes he can read. Derek and Peter go looking for something and Braeden must help them get it out of a chest that the hunters obviously didn’t want them to get into. She pulls out something with the Hale family symbol, the triskele, before it cuts to someone at the Nemeton.

This mysterious person yanks a new growth out of the Nemeton, and when they walk away, fireflies burst from the cracks of the tree stump. The fireflies and some mysterious smoke form the shape of figures before the episode ends and we’re left with another great cliffhanger.
